[03-23-2023] Car Tire Flew and Struck Another Car in Chatsworth, One Driver InjuredA two-vehicle collision left one driver with minor injuries in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Reports indicated that the crash occurred on the 118 Freeway, near the De Soto Avenue exit.

According to authorities, a tire detached from a pickup truck and went underneath a dark-colored Kia, which left the vehicle flying into the air and turning on its roof.

As a result, debris scattered across the area, and the Kia driver sustained minor injuries. The driver’s condition and identity are yet to be released.

Officers later revealed that sheared-off lug nuts led to the pickup truck’s tire detachment.

Further investigations are still ongoing.
