What To Do After an Accident Occurred

A police report should be filed as soon as you have gathered information. A central database allows the police to keep information about what happened during the accident, they keep these records on file within the police department, and those records are kept securely.

An accident is often attended by the police, but in an event that they do not, you can contact your local police by phone or in person to file an accident report after the fact. In this way, if the police are not at the scene of the collision, they will collect that information on their own and will write a police report later on.
