A female passenger was hospitalized following a DUI crash in San Diego early Sunday morning, April 02, 2023.
According to local authorities, the crash occurred at about 1:19 a.m. near the intersection of 28th Street and K Street.
A male driver was reportedly traveling south on 28th Street with a female passenger when they hit the rear end of a parked pickup truck. Their vehicle sustained major front-end damage.
The female passenger was sent to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The responding officers performed Field Sobriety Tests on the driver. He admitted to consuming 6 to 7 16 oz. beers before driving and was arrested for DUI.
The truck they crashed on was moved more than 20 feet from its parked location.
Both parties were not yet identified. The investigation continues.
