[04-03-2023] One Killed, Three Injured After DUI Rollover Collision in BakersfieldA suspected DUI collision claimed a woman’s life and injured three people in Bakersfield early Monday morning, April 3, 2023.

The deadly crash reportedly occurred around 1:58 a.m. on East Belle Terrace at Madison Street.

As per authorities, a Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound on E. Belle Terrace, east of Bunting Drive, at approximately 60 miles per hour as it approached a southerly curve.

The driver failed to negotiate a road curve, and the vehicle swerved off the road and crashed into a dirt berm along a canal.

The Dodge rolled over and came to rest east of the canal in a grass and dirt field.

When officers arrived, it was determined that a traffic accident resulted in one death and three others suffering from moderate to severe injuries.

The driver and two passengers suffered moderate to severe injuries and were taken to Kern Medical Center.

The third passenger, a 30-year-old woman, suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.

According to the CHP, alcohol was a factor in the crash, and the accident remains under investigation.
