According to the La Mesa Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:25 a.m. on 9110 Grossmont Boulevard.

A male driver struck the back of a pick-up truck smashing the car itself.

The truck driver was transported to a nearby hospital, but the extent of his injuries is not yet determined. Meanwhile, the car driver and his dog were not injured.
