[04-09-2022] Placer County, CA – One Person Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Lincoln

One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Lincoln on Saturday morning, April 9, 2022.

04-09-2022-Placer-County-CA-One-Person-Killed-in-Fatal-Two-Vehicle-Crash-in-LincolnAccording to an online report from the Lincoln Police Department, the Lincoln Police and Fire Departments responded at approximately 8:45 a.m. to a motor vehicle crash on First Street at the intersection of Hollingsworth Drive.

According to the report, a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveled east on First Street from O Street, and a Toyota truck traveled west on First Street from L Street during the initial investigation.

The Toyota turned left onto Hollingsworth Drive, directly in front of the eastbound motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider appeared to try to avoid a collision but instead collided with the Toyota’s right side.

The sole occupant of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene after extensive lifesaving efforts by emergency personnel.

The Toyota’s occupants were not injured.

The Lincoln Police Department is still investigating the accident.

The Lincoln Fire Department, American Response, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, and the Placer County Chaplaincy all assisted the police department.
