One person was severely injured following a two-vehicle collision in Riverside County on Sunday evening, April 9, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:16 p.m. on Interstate 10 at Chiriaco Summit, east of Indio.
CHP reported that the collision involved a U-Haul towed away from the site and a black Chevrolet Suburban with major front-end damage.
The number of people involved is currently unknown, but at least one person was reported to have sustained severe wounds.
The responding medics attended to them, but their current state remains unknown.
There was no additional information given about this collision as the investigation continued.
