[04-09-2023] San Joaquin County, CA - One Person Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash near TracyAt least one person was killed after a two-vehicle collision that pinned three people in San Joaquin County on Sunday morning, April 9, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash occurred around 3:17 a.m. on SR-132, east of S Koster Road and near SR-33, southeast of Tracy.

Authorities are still investigating what caused two vehicles to crash into each other, trapping three people inside the wreckage. At least one person was killed, while another was hospitalized with major injuries.

The responding firefighters and emergency crews blocked both directions of the highway to extricate the victims. No further details were released on their identifications.

Motorists were advised to use alternate routes as SR-132 was shut down in both directions from Koster Road to SR-33, with an estimated time of opening of 9:00 a.m.

It is currently unknown whether speeding or intoxication from alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash.
