[04-15-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Person Killed, Others Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Fowler City

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Fresno County that killed one person on Friday, April 15, 2022.

The crash occurred around 6:40 a.m. at a two-way stop on Fowler and Lincoln Avenues, north of Fowler.

According to officers, a silver Chevy Astro Van carrying eight farmworkers failed to stop at a stop sign on Lincoln Avenue and collided with a GMC Terrain traveling south on Fowler Avenue.

According to the CHP, the impact of the collision caused the van to overturn.

One of the workers inside was killed because he was not wearing a seatbelt.

His full name and age have yet to be disclosed.

Seven other people in the van, as well as the GMC’s driver, were injured in minor to moderate ways.

There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
