A male driver was injured after a hit-and-run accident involving four vehicles in Victorville on Thursday morning, April 20, 2023.
According to the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station, a green 2005 Nissan Altima ran a red light around 8:50 a.m. at US Highway 395 and Palmdale Road intersection and collided with three other cars. The driver fled the scene on foot.
A Mitsubishi SUV, one of the vehicles involved in the crash, rolled repeatedly before stopping on its wheels along the sidewalk. The male driver sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Firefighters disclosed to dispatch that the suspect entered a nearby Walgreens and changed his clothes before running away. The Altima’s driver was last spotted in a desert region northwest of the Stater Bros. mall.
It was discovered through the investigation that the Altima was a stolen vehicle from Adelanto.
The suspect is described as an adult male Hispanic who is about 5’8″ tall and has a lean build. His goatee is about two to three inches long, and has short hair. He was last observed wearing gray pants, a black T-shirt, and black shoes with white laces.
Officers have released a surveillance photo of the wanted suspect in the hit-and-run accident. The picture was taken by a surveillance camera of a local business on the day of the crash.
The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station is still investigating the accident.
