[04-24-2022] Fresno County, CA – Two People Injured Following Violent Two-Vehicle Crash at Clayton and Chestnut Avenues

According to the California Highway Patrol, two people were taken to the hospital as a result of a car crash in Fresno County on Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2022.

Officers were dispatched around 4:00 p.m. to the area of Clayton and Chestnut avenues.

The authorities rushed to the scene after receiving reports of two vehicles involved in a collision.

Officers arrived to find a pick-up truck cab overturned in a nearby home’s front yard, and an SUV stuck on top of a gate and chain-link fence.

Officers also discovered the truck bed, which had been ripped off due to the impact of the crash, on the front lawn.

Following the crash, two people were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters on the scene.

Both patients were rushed to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
