[04-25-2022] Kern County, CA – Elderly Woman Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Oildale

One elderly woman in a wheelchair was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Oildale on Monday, April 25, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol incident page, the crash occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. on North Chester Avenue and China Grade Loop.

The officials reported that a white truck driver was headed west on a green light.

The woman was then struck as the driver made a right turn.

According to CHP, the pedestrian was found lying down on the road.

The driver did not flee the scene.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the injured pedestrian was taken to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
