[04-25-2022] One Person Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in East HollywoodA pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 101 Monday night, April 25, 2022.

The crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Vermont Avenue in East Hollywood.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s online incident log, a male pedestrian was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado in the far left lane of the freeway.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the California Highway Patrol requested that Caltrans close the 101 freeway for about an hour.

There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
