Two people were hospitalized after a stabbing incident at a Walmart in Zachary on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
The incident started when the suspect had an ongoing feud with the victims. The confrontation then escalated, and the suspect became increasingly violent, stabbing the two victims in the grocery section.
The victim was aged around 13 to 18. They were immediately taken to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge for treatment.
The teenage suspect is currently facing charges after the incident. Authorities have not disclosed his identity due to his age. He is now facing two counts of aggravated second-degree battery.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident. The deputies are processing the crime scene and collecting evidence, which will be turned over to Zachary PD, then forward it to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
