[04-30-2023] Yolo County, CA – Four People Injured After Vehicle Crashed Into Bakery in Davis

An employee, a father, and two boys sustained minor injuries after an SUV crashed into a bakery in Davis on Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2023.

Lorin K., the owner of Upper Crust Baking, stated that the vehicle driver seemed to have stepped on the gas instead of the brake leading to the accident shortly after noon at 634 G St.

The impact resulted in minor injuries to one employee and three customers. According to the Davis Fire Department, all victims were transported to the hospital for observation.

Kalisky was inside the building at the time of the accident. She stated that the vehicle drove straight into the floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the bakery.

It narrowly missed the two children, caused the father to be thrown down to the floor, and almost pinned the employee between the car and the rear wall of the business.

Thankfully, the vehicle came to rest at an angle, leaving the four people involved with only minor injuries.

Three days after the vehicle crashed through the front of the business, the owner fully reopened Upper Crust Baking on Tuesday.
