[05-02-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Multiple Vehicles in Modesto

One person was killed after being struck by multiple vehicles in Modesto on Saturday night, May 2, 2026.

According to the Modesto Police Department, officers responded to the incident at around 9:00 p.m. on Hatch Road between Dallas Street and Ustick Road.

Authorities determined that the person was walking in the roadway when they were hit by several vehicles. The victim died at the scene.

Police stated that the drivers of the initial vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Investigators believe a third vehicle may have been involved, and the department’s Traffic Safety Unit is continuing to follow up on leads.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
