[05-06-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed in Head-On Crash Involving Dump Truck on Highway 247 Near Lucerne Valley

One person was killed following a head-on collision involving a dump truck and a Tesla near Lucerne Valley in San Bernardino County on Wednesday morning, May 6, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department, the crash was reported around 10:50 a.m. on Highway 247 east of Stony Ridge Road.

Authorities stated that a dump truck hauling dry cement collided head-on with a Tesla sedan. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and coroner’s officials responded to the area.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
