[05-07-2022] Kern County, CA – One Person Dead After a Fatal Traffic Crash near Blackwell’s Corner General Store

An unidentified man was killed after a deadly traffic crash involving a fuel tanker near Blackwell’s Corner General Store on Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2022.

The collision transpired at approximately 2:14 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 46 and Highway 33.

A U-Haul truck towing a vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck carrying liquified petroleum. It’s unclear what caused the crash to occur.

One person was killed in the crash. No injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

An active investigation is currently underway.
