[05-13-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Man Injured, Stuck 50 Feet Up a Tree in Westlake After Pruning Accident

A man pruning a tree was injured after being stuck 50 feet above the ground in Westlake on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

The Ventura County Firefighters said the incident occurred at the 800 block of Crest Drive in Westlake.

According to the report, a man engaged in tree pruning found himself trapped at a height of 50 feet above the ground, resulting in injuries to his arms and legs.

The man was successfully rescued by the firefighters using an aerial ladder. A firefighter descended and secured him with ropes, ensuring their safety before bringing them both down to the ground.

Following the rescue, the man was transported to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, where he is currently in stable condition.
