[05-14-2023] Kern County, CA – Two People Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Head-on Collision in Bakersfield

Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle head-on collision in Bakersfield late Sunday night, May 14, 2023.

According to Officer H. Baza from CHP Bakersfield, they received a report from witnesses regarding a head-on collision around 11:30 p.m. at Virginia and Bates Ave.

When the authorities arrived, they discovered two vehicles with front-end damage. The Kern County Fire Department arrived on the scene to provide medical care to the patients.

Two parties from two separate vehicles were taken to an area hospital by ambulance. One was reportedly unconscious but breathing, and the other may have suffered broken bones.

Authorities are still investigating the collision.
