[05-14-2023] San Diego County, CA – Two People Killed, Two Others Suffered Injuries After Two-Vehicle Hit-And-Run Crash in Bay Terraces

Two people were killed, and two others suffered injuries after a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash in the Bay Terraces community of San Diego on Sunday morning, May 14, 2023.

According to the San Diego Police Department, at about 2:25 a.m., a 2000 Honda Civic going west on Paradise Valley Road turned left southbound onto Munda Road, right in front of a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck going east on Paradise Valley. The driver of a pickup truck fled the scene on foot.

The Honda’s driver, a 22-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries. Two other passengers, a 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman, died at the hospital. A 25-year-old man who was a third passenger also sustained injuries.

After the crash, a 53-year-old San Diego resident identified as Tony G. turned himself into the SDPD Western Division. The driver was arrested and charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter and one count of felony hit-and-run.
