[05-15-2023] One Person Killed, Two Others Suffered Injuries Following Two-Vehicle Crash in Chula VistaOne person was killed, and two others suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Chula Vista on Monday afternoon, May 15, 2023.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, they received several calls about a two-car crash in the 600 block of Telegraph Canyon Road around 1:28 p.m.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a 24-year-old man driving an F-150 traveling east had collided with a Honda Odyssey turning left on Old Telegraph Road.

Authorities stated that officers and paramedics responded and performed CPR on both vehicles’ occupants.

The 86-year-old driver of the Odyssey, identified as Erlinda Y. of Bonita, reportedly died at the hospital, while the 83-year-old passenger remains in critical condition.

The man driving the F-150 is still being treated in the hospital for his injuries and is cooperating with the investigation.

The authorities have not yet released any further information.
