A woman died after being struck by a train in Modesto on Monday afternoon, May 15, 2023.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred before 5:00 p.m. along the 1100 block of South 7th Street.

According to the report, a woman in her early 30s was struck and killed near the railroad tracks. Sadly, she was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. The victim’s identity was not disclosed.

The investigation is ongoing.
