[05-18-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Metro Train in Koreatown

A man was fatally struck by a Metro train in Koreatown, Los Angeles, on Thursday morning, May 18, 2023.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the incident occurred on the 3500 block of Wilshire Boulevard at the Wilshire/Normandie Purple (D Line) subway station in Koreatown.

According to the report, an individual, described as a male in his 50s, was struck by a Metro train. Upon arrival at the scene, LAPD personnel found the victim unconscious and unresponsive.

Sadly, the individual was pronounced dead on-site.

The LAPD has initiated an investigation into the incident. Currently, no further details are available regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
