[05-22-2022]​ San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by AMTRAK Train in Sorrento Valley

According to the police, an unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck by an AMTRAK train on Sorrento Valley Road Sunday, May 22, 2022.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly collision transpired at 1:05 a.m. near the Sorrento Valley train station at 11170 Sorrento Valley Road in San Diego.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason King said.

The names, ages, and genders of the victims were not released.

The collision is still under active investigation.

Anyone with information about the death was asked to call the sheriff’s department’s non-emergency line at 858-565-5200.
