Two people were injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision on Highway 101 on Monday night, May 23, 2022.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:22 p.m. on Highway 101, near San Luis Bay Drive in Avila Beach.
A Toyota Corolla and a Honda Civic collided on the roadway under unclear circumstances. Due to the severity of the impact, one of the involved vehicles rolled over.
Two people inside the Honda were rushed to an area hospital after sustaining minor injuries., Meanwhile, the Toyota driver was arrested on DUI-related charges.
An active investigation of the collision is currently underway.
