The 74-year-old man who was killed in a deadly bicycle crash in North Fresno on Tuesday morning, May 24, 2022 has been identified.

The 74-year-old man was identified as Frank R. Frank was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced dead in the hospital.

It’s still unclear whether intoxication was a factor in the deadly accident. Local authorities are further investigating the case.

The collision occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Herndon and Blackstone Avenues.

According to investigators, the 74-year-old rider was crossing south on Blackstone in the crosswalk when a silver SUV struck him.

When officers arrived, they discovered the man with serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died later.

The police have not disclosed the rider’s identity.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the accident.

The driver, according to the police, is cooperating with the investigation.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
