A female pedestrian named Prinze L., 23, died after being struck by a vehicle in Santa Paula on Saturday afternoon, May 27, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred around 2:07 p.m. along westbound Highway 126 near Willard Road.
A female pedestrian from Milpitas was walking along the westbound side of the highway, located east of Willard Road, when she was struck by a 70-year-old Fillmore man driving a 2016 Dodge.
Lorenzo was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
The incident caused a temporary slowdown of westbound traffic on the 126. However, the lanes were cleared shortly after 4:30 p.m.
The cause of her death is still under investigation.
