[05-28-2023] San Diego County, CA – Three People Injured After Two-Vehicle DUI Collision in Sorrento Valley

Three people were injured after a two-vehicle DUI collision in Sorrento Valley, San Diego, on Sunday evening, May 28, 2023.

The San Diego Police Department reported that the collision happened around 8:53 p.m. in the 5300 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard near Interstate 805.

A 2014 Ford Transit, driven by a 26-year-old woman, headed the wrong way along the westbound lanes. She collided with a 2017 Honda Civic driven by a 42-year-old man.

The male driver sustained minor injuries, while his 44-year-old female passenger suffered critical injuries.

The female driver sustained internal injuries and was arrested for driving under the influence.
