According to the police, a 29-year-old woman pedestrian suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run collision in Napa Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
According to Napa Police Sgt. Aaron Medina, the crash occurred at 8:52 p.m. at the intersection of West Imola Avenue and South Jefferson Street.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital with major injuries but was able to provide a statement to officers.
A number of witnesses also gave statements.
According to Medina, witnesses described the involved vehicle as a dark green Jeep Wrangler-type vehicle with a black hardtop.
The vehicle was last seen driving east on South Coombs Street, near the intersection with Imola Avenue.
According to preliminary information, the pedestrian was crossing West Imola southbound at South Minahen Street while the involved vehicle was traveling eastbound on West Imola.
As part of the investigation, police are looking for more witnesses as well as footage from dash cameras or home surveillance cameras that may have captured the crash.
