A man was hospitalized following a workplace accident involving a tractor in Madera County on Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol reported that around 4:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Avenue 5 1/2 and Road 24 1/2 to investigate an accident.
Authorities stated that when officers arrived, they learned that a man had stepped off a tractor and got his vest trapped in the planter, forcing him to the ground. The tractor ran over the man while he was on the ground and crushed his chest.
No other information was immediately available as the further investigation continued.
