Two people were killed following a small plane crash near an airport in Oroville on Thursday afternoon, June 2, 2022.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the fatal crash transpired at approximately 1:00 p.m. near the Oroville Municipal Airport.
A single-engine Beech 19A crashed in a field near the airport for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the fatal accident have not been established.
Two people inside the plane were killed in the mishap. No other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are currently trying to determine the cause of the fatal plane crash and the liability.
