[06-03-2023] Fresno County, CA – 3 Teenagers Hospitalized Following Pickup Truck Collision on Highway 99

Three teenagers were hospitalized after sideswiping a vehicle and crashing into an embankment in Fresno on Saturday evening, June 3, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, The crash happened on Highway 99 near Central Avenue at around 11:30 p.m.

A Chevy Silverado Truck, driven by a 17-year-old female, was swerving on the highway and struck another vehicle before going down an embankment. The Chevy then overturned and crashed through an electrical fence before finally stopping after damaging two RVs in RV Country.

As a result of the crash, a girl shot out of the vehicle. That girl, the 17-year-old girl, and another girl both sustained moderate to major injuries. They were immediately transported to Community Regional Medical Center.

As of now, it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to this incident.
