[06-05-2026] Monterey County, CA – Two Critically Injured in Collision Involving Motorcycle and Vehicle in Salinas

Two people were critically injured after a motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Salinas on Friday afternoon, June 5, 2026.

According to Salinas police, the crash occurred around 3 p.m. at the intersection of East Laurel Drive and Linwood Drive.

Authorities reported that the driver of a gray Buick made a left turn in front of an oncoming motorcycle after failing to yield while facing a flashing yellow arrow. The motorcycle struck the vehicle, leaving both the rider and passenger with critical injuries.

Both motorcycle occupants were transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment and remained in critical condition.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
