[06-06-2022] Tulare County, CA - 62-Year-Old Man Killed After a Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash on J StreetAn unidentified 62-year-old man was killed following a deadly traffic crash involving a hit-and-run driver on J Street on Monday night, June 6, 2022.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened in the area of J Street and Tulare Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The older man was crossing J Street in his wheelchair when he was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle. The driver did not stop to render aid and drove away from the scene.

Concerned bystanders rushed to aid the older man and took him to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the 62-year-old man could not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Local authorities are further investigating the case. Witnesses that can give more information about the whereabouts and the suspect’s identity are urged to contact the Tulare County Police Department.
