One person was killed, and another was critically injured following a DUI multi-vehicle crash in Lancaster on Monday evening, June 6, 2023.
Three vehicles collided at the intersection of West Avenue L and 20th Street West in Lancaster, California, just before 9:00 p.m. The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies from Lancaster Station responded.
When officers arrived, they discovered two people trapped inside one of the vehicles. One patient was extracted from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The passenger of that automobile was declared dead at the scene.
Deputies on the scene gave one of the drivers’ field sobriety tests, raising the possibility that drugs or alcohol may have contributed to the crash. Officials added that the driver was standing beside a deputy’s car while handcuffed.
