[06-08-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Bicyclist Injured in Hit-And-Run Collision in California Heights Neighborhood

The Long Beach Police Department is looking for the driver who fled the scene after hitting and injuring a cyclist in Long Beach’s California Heights neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 2022.

The collision occurred just after 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Wardlow Road, a few blocks west of Reservoir Park.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the cyclist was riding his bicycle when the driver collided with him and fled the area.

Long Beach Fire personnel transported the victim, who was only identified as a male adult, to a local hospital with upper-body injuries. According to the LBPD, he is in stable condition.

There were no other details given, and the investigation is still ongoing.
