[06-10-2022] Butte County, CA - Head-On Collision in Chico Injures Two PeopleAt least two people were hurt following a major head-on traffic crash in Chico on Friday morning, June 10, 2022.

The collision transpired at approximately 5:00 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Highway 99 at Gaia Way.

A female driver was traveling southbound on Highway 99 when, for unclear reasons, she drifted into the northbound lanes and collided with an oncoming big rig.

At least two people were injured following the crash. It’s unclear whether they were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the accident.
