According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 5:10 a.m. on the southbound freeway at Avenida De Estrella.
Authorities stated that one person was fatally injured, and there was no immediate information about the possible number of injuries and the details of the vehicles involved.
There was no other information provided, and it is uncertain whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.
