[06-11-2023] Four Teens Injured, One Seriously, After Their Vehicle Crashed into Tree on Noriega RoadFour teens were injured, while one sustained severe injuries after a reckless driving incident on Noriega Road in Bakersfield on Sunday evening, June 11, 2023.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, an officer stationed at the park witnessed a Dodge Challenger driving recklessly on the grassy area of Polo Park around 10:30 p.m.

Officials reported that despite the officer’s attempt to signal the unlicensed teenage driver of the Challenger to stop, the vehicle fled from the park.

As stated by the police, the vehicle eventually lost control, resulting in a collision with a tree. The four teenagers inside the car sustained injuries and were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
