[06-13-2022] Kern County, CA – One Person Killed, Two Others Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 178

According to the California Highway Patrol, one person was killed, and two others were injured in a fatal traffic collision on Highway 178 on Monday, June 13, 2022.

The crash occurred around 12:55 p.m. on Highway 178 just east of the Mouth of the Canyon.

The CHP reported that both lanes were blocked as a result of the collision, and traffic was backed up.

According to CHP, one person died at the scene, and two others suffered minor to moderate injuries.

The time when the road will be cleared is unknown to the highway patrol.

The crash remains under investigation.
