[06-16-2026] Marin County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Fairfax

A 91-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway in Fairfax, Marin County, on Tuesday evening, June 16, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, east of Shadow Creek Court in the Oak Manor neighborhood.

Authorities reported that a Volkswagen Passat traveling westbound struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the roadway northbound.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Martinez, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was not injured.

Authorities stated that alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
