[06-17-2023] Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in Jurupa Valley Claims Life of One PedestrianA pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run car in Jurupa Valley on Saturday morning, June 17, 2023.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the incident occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m. near Market Street and 24th Street.

Deputies and responders from Cal Fire arrived at the scene and discovered the victim on the northbound shoulder of Market Street. Regrettably, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identification has been withheld pending the notification of their next of kin.

No suspect has been arrested yet, and it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
