[06-19-2026] Madera County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Vehicle on SR-41

An 86-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Madera County on Friday evening, June 19, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol Merced Communications Center, the crash occurred around 8:01 p.m. on State Route 41 north of State Route 145.

A 19-year-old driver from Fresno was traveling northbound in a 2011 Mercedes E350 when he pulled onto the right shoulder and attempted a U-turn to head southbound.

Authorities reported that the driver did not see an approaching 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound behind him. The motorcycle collided with the left side of the Mercedes, ejecting the rider.

The rider was flown to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the Mercedes was wearing a seatbelt, and the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the collision.
