[06-22-2022] Riverside County, CA - Driver Killed In Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision Near Mount San Jacinto CollegeAccording to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Sgt. Dawn Blair, a 25-year-old motorist, was killed and his passenger injured in a two-vehicle collision near the entrance to the campus of Mt. San Jacinto College Wednesday.

The deadly collision transpired just after 8:30 p.m. near North State Street and Crest Drive.

According to Blair, the deceased was identified as Jorge P. of Hemet, who crashed and died at the scene.

Paniagua came upon a northbound Honda Civic turning onto Sagecrest from the north while operating a southbound Infiniti sedan on State “at a high rate of speed.”

At the intersection, the two cars collided, and according to Blair, “the force of the collision caused the Infiniti to (crash) into a telephone pole.”

Within a short time, Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters arrived at the scene and pronounced Paniagua dead on the spot.

His passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, but it was not made public who she was, their condition was unknown.

The Honda driver was unharmed.

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff’s San Jacinto station at 951-654-2702 as the investigation is still ongoing.
