[06-24-2023] 39-Year-Old Driver Killed Following Hit-And-Run Crash in OaklandA 39-year-old driver was killed following a hit-and-run crash in Oakland early Saturday morning, June 24, 2023.

According to the Oakland Police Department, the fatal crash occurred around 12:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of International Boulevard.

A 21-year-old Toyota Camry driver fled on foot after hitting a 39-year-old Toyota Avalon driver who was making a U-turn.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later declared dead.

The suspect was located and showed signs of intoxication. He was treated for injuries and arrested for DUI and felony hit-and-run.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal crash.
