[06-25-2023] Two People, Including One Pedestrian, Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on I-5 in LebecAn 82-year-old man and a pedestrian were killed after a single-vehicle collision in Lebec, Kern County, on June 25, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred after 9:00 p.m. on Interstate 5 through the Grapevine.

The report said a man operating a red Chevy Corvette was traveling southbound when he collided with a pedestrian walking on the roadway just north of Lebec Service Road.

The driver and the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The exact cause of the collision and the individuals’ identities remained undisclosed.

The investigation is ongoing.
