According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver was killed following a two-vehicle crash in Fresno Monday afternoon, July 4, 2022.
According to CHP, the crash occurred just before 3:00 p.m on Highway 41 near Tulare Street in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man driving a 1985 Toyota truck clipped the quarter panel of a Ford Bronco, causing him to lose control and crash into a palm tree.
The CHP identified that the 56-year-old driver of the truck was killed in the crash.
According to officials, the truck caught fire right after the collision, but it’s unclear whether the collision or fire killed the driver.
The driver, who has not been identified, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Bronco and her passenger were not injured.
The crash is still under investigation.
