[07-04-2023] At Least One Person Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Collision Along Highway 58At least one person was injured following a multi-vehicle collision along Highway 58, Kern County, on Tuesday morning, July 04, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 10:10 a.m. on the westbound lanes of Highway 58, east of Highway 223.

Eight vehicles were reportedly involved, including a semi-truck. It is currently unclear how many people were involved and injured, but authorities said that there major injuries.

One person was ejected from a vehicle, receiving unknown injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital using a helicopter in an unknown condition.

Further details on the collision have yet to be released by the authorities.
