[07-04-2026] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Indio

A 75-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Indio on Saturday night, July 4, 2026.

According to the Indio Police Department, officers responded to the incident at around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Golf Center Parkway and Avenue 44.

Authorities said the woman suffered major injuries after being struck by a white Audi sedan traveling northbound on Golf Center Parkway. Investigators believe the pedestrian had just stepped off the center median into the roadway when the incident happened.

The woman was transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The 50-year-old driver of the Audi remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
